ZeqouX3D
Build worlds. From scratch.
A 3D game engine and editor written from scratch — no third-party libraries, only Windows and its SDK. A Direct3D 12 renderer with physical sky, shadows and realistic water, 3D audio with its own mixer, a UE5/Unity-style editor, its own scripting language with hot reload, character controllers, prefabs, material graphs and project templates. Now a public beta with an installer — not a complete 3D engine yet.

Written from scratch, down to the font rasterizer
ZeqouX3D uses no third-party libraries — only Windows and its SDK. The renderer, the Direct3D 12 backend, the editor's user interface, the TTF and SVG rasterizers, image codecs, the glTF importer, the entity system and the scripting language are all part of the engine. It is tuned on a laptop with Intel UHD 620 graphics, so a Lite profile keeps everyday hardware at a steady frame rate.
ZeqouScript: the engine's own language
Gameplay is written in ZeqouScript — small, readable, compiled to bytecode and run by the engine's own virtual machine. Values declared with prop appear in the Details panel and can differ per object; saving a script while the game is playing reloads it on the spot and keeps its state. The built-in Script Editor colors the code and shows errors with their line while you type.

Start from a template
The Project Browser creates a project from Blank, Sample Scene, First Person, Third Person or Water, with optional Starter Content (materials and ready-made scripts), documentation for the team and for AI coding assistants, and a Git repository. Press Play and the game runs inside the editor from its own camera.

An installer for Windows 10 / 11 (no administrator rights needed) or a portable zip. This is a beta, not a complete 3D engine yet: features are missing, expect bugs, and keep backups of your projects. Needs a DirectX 12 GPU (Intel UHD 620 or better) and 8 GB of RAM.
